How To Install Floor Spring Door Closer
Installation steps
A. Draw a line so that the center of the ground spring shaft coincides with the door clamp shaft.
B. Make a hole in the ground according to the manual and the real thing, the size of the hole should be tight with the ground spring shell, not loose.
C. Put the ground spring into the open hole and set it up.
D. Lift the door with the door clip installed, so that the shaft of the ground spring is inserted into the hole of the shaft of the door.
E. Adjust the screws of the three directions of the floor spring. Keep the door vertical, and up and down the axis of rotation coincide.
F. Adjust the closing speed.
G. Cover the floor spring decorative cover The installation accuracy of the floor spring has a great impact on its service life.
The quality defects of the floor spring are
oil leakage from the body and eccentricity of the ground shaft. The oil leakage of the body is caused by the casting process of the floor spring. If the casting process causes a sand hole, the internal liquid pressure of the body increases after installation and causes oil leakage. The eccentric ground shaft can cause the door body to deviate from the centerline of the door after installation. Although some quality defects can be compensated by the body position adjustment, it is better to contact the manufacturer for replacement. The end of the service life of the ground spring is the oil leakage from the shaft and the weakening of the elasticity. If the axis of the sky shaft and the ground spring spindle are not strictly perpendicular to the ground, the movement of the door fan will bring great torsion to the ground spring, increasing the wear between the spindle and the bearing and eventually leading to oil leakage from the shaft. Inevitably, the spring will weaken after a long stretching movement.
Floor spring slotting detailed construction method.
Step1: Determine the slotted position: first take out the body of the floor spring and place it roughly at the installation position determined in advance, at this time take a plumb line and place a plumb line from the center of the circle of the top axis of the floor spring, then move the position of the floor spring so that the center of the plumb body is placed exactly at the center mark position of the flat axis of the floor spring, and pay attention to the verticality of the floor spring in the horizontal, front, back, left and right four directions at the same time, and then trace the The outline of the body of the floor spring
Step 2: Slotting: Cut a slot with a depth of about 3-5MM with an angle grinder on the edge of the contoured area of the ground spring, and then take an electric hammer or a hand chisel to excavate the ground material in the contoured area of the ground spring, in which the angle grinder, electric hammer, and chisel can be used repeatedly, with a chisel in the fine part, an electric hammer in the larger part, and an angle grinder in the edge part. At the same time, you can measure the depth of the floor spring groove and put the body of the floor spring into the groove when it is close to the thickness size to see if it can be kept below the ground.
Step3: Stabilize the body of the floor spring: When the body of the floor spring can be put into the groove completely, you can stabilize the body of the floor spring, but you can also use cement, but the cement takes longer to set. Take out the body of the floor spring, add the right amount of quick-drying powder in the floor tank, put water and mix it until the consistency is suitable, then put in the body of the floor spring, hit the floor spring with a hammer after using a rubber hammer or a wooden block, so that the surface of the floor spring can be restored to the level of the surrounding ground, then take a plumb line to find the position of the axis of the floor spring and fine-tune the body of the floor spring.
After the above three steps, the grooving process of the floor spring body is perfect, but there are several points that must be noted:
(a) The size of the groove is moderate, not too big or too small, too big affects the beauty, too small is less stable material, and the fixing is not firm.
(b) The position of the axis of the floor spring must be accurate, and the plumb line or other tools for finding the vertical line must be used.
(c) The cement or quick-drying powder used for stabilization has the right viscosity to ensure the strength of the solid floor spring.
(d) After slotting the floor spring, be sure to wait until the cement or quick-drying powder has enough strength before installing the door body, to avoid rework caused by the displacement of the floor spring.
